I met a girlfriend here for lunch on a quite Monday afternoon.
There were only a few other diners in when we arrived and a table of 7 arrived shortly afterwards.
Service was good and the food was excellent. It was the kind of restaurant I would happily go to alone and not feel intimidated. It is not too big that you are lost in the crowd but also not so small that you are surrounded by couples.
I had their daily special - ham croquettes to start and then spaghetti with ham and egg as a main course. As a bit of a fried egg expert my only criticism would be that the egg was a bit too crunchy on the bottom (oil was too hot). apart from that everything else was perfect. My friend had devilled eggs and grilled cheese sandwich. I didn't get to taste any but it looked scrummy!!
These guys got a recommendation in the Michelin guide 2013 and so it has been on my list of places to go for a little while. I'm glad I did and am also glad we chose a relatively quiet lunchtime to give them a try, but I'd also like to come back and try the dinner menu. Its a nice little spot.
